We return to the Hideaway this July 16th, with amazing guest vocalist Beverley Stone.

The first half of the show will take you on a journey through the big band swing era featuring classics from the likes of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Buddy Rich and Woody Herman. The second half will be a dedication to the 1970s, the decade of funk.

Guest vocalist Beverley Stone is a hugely talented artist on the UK jazz scene.  Since as long as she can remember Beverley has been immersed in popular music, starting with the Great American songbook interpreted by the likes of Frank, Ella, Nat and Billie, but also adding more recent artists such as Carol King and Amy.  The key has always been the combination of melody, musical arrangement, emotion, and the story to be told – the more soul searching the better.  Beverley will be performing songs made famous by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Bille Holiday and Diane Schuur.
